Volunteers

Volunteers are a key component in NRAF's efforts to preserve and protect rock art in Nevada. Whether in the field or in the office, NRAF's volunteers contribute thousands of hours every year- over 3,725 hours in 2010 alone, equating to over $74,000 in donated labor!

NRAF's program accomplishments would not be possible without the amazing level of support that
NRAF receives from its volunteers. Volunteers contribute in many ways, including:

- Documenting rock art sites for posterity: photographing, creating scaled drawings, and collecting GPS and IMACS information for rock art panels.

- Processing the information gathered in the field

- Serving as tour leaders to rock art sites all over the State

- Participating in public lectures, informational events, and community outreach, helping to spread the word about Nevada's spectacular rock art
