As part of our public education program, NRAF leads free monthly tours to selected rock art sites that have been developed for public interpretation. Currently we offer tours to Valley of Fire State Park (Clark County) and Grimes Point (Churchill County). The Valley of Fire tour is held on the second Saturday of the month and the Grimes Point tour is held on the third Saturday of the month. Northern Site Tour Grimes Point - FREE guided educational tour to one of the oldest and most interesting rock art sites in Nevada, east of Carson City and Fallon on Highway 50. Tour is limited to 20 and involves gentle hiking. Call 775.323.6723 ext. 11 or email info@nvrockart.org to reserve a place.
Southern Site Tour Valley of Fire State Park - A FREE guided tour of several beautiful rock art localities within the spectacular landscapes of the Valley of Fire State Park, east of Las Vegas. Tour is imited to 20 and involves moderate hiking. Call 702.804.6723 ext. 11 or email info@nvrockart.org to reserve a place. NRAF will only be conducting one tour of the Valley of Fire State Park in 2010, on May 1st. |
